People who bray that "it's 100% recyclable" remind me of Prius drivers, thinking that will solve the world's problems. The maxim is REDUCE, REUSE, recycle. Recycle is the THIRD thing. REDUCE the need for recycling (since some forms of recycling are worse than just tossing it into a landfill) by getting off your lazy ass and making regular pancakes. Sheesh.

It's not a big enough deal for me to do every time but if I'm making them for someone special it's nice to go the extra mile. I only whip the whites of the existing separated egg(s) though, I've never added extra.

For God's sake people, how hard is it to just make pancakes from scratch? Answer: not hard, if you haven't been duped by the Betty Crocker ilk. It takes me all of three minutes (I even timed myself) to whip up honest to Jebus pancake batter: buttermilk, baking powder, flour, an egg (maybe some other stuff, I don't have the recipe in front of me). This is pathetic

Love this stuff!!! As a mother of two boys, who has the time to clean up the ususal mess! It's like " cheez-whiz " but in pancake form. There is no denying that this taste much better than my own version. It's delicious..... no mess... and gives me more time to watch re-runs of " Project Runway " on Bravo! Must have been a mother who invented this!

The milk container is the only part of my pancake recipe that I have to dispose of with any regularity, and its contents have a variety of uses. This is just another shortcut around doing it right (cue the "I have no time" parents).

Before you all get carried away talking about how enviormentally unsound and horrible the product is... without trying it, mind you... Please read the facts below. The cans are 100% recyclable, from the top to the bottom: plastic and steel *no matter how you make your pancakes/waffles, you still have waste - you still have to throw out and/or recycle the shake and pour bottle or milk container, etc... The propellant contains no CFCs (which deplete the ozone layer and were outlawed years ago)and it is not Nitros- that's chemical and the product could not be considered organic. Batter Blaster uses the highest quality USDA Certified Organic ingredients, including CERTIFIED HUMANE cage free, organic eggs. NO Hydrogenated oils/fats, NO corn syrup or fake ingredients that turn out to be checmicals and not real food. Batter Blaster IS a local comapany with local people working there, so support them, they're right here in SF! There are my 2 cents. I just get irriated by the soap box preachers. Sorry, I had to push the last one off and jump on my own soap box. Who's next?

I'm 100% on the local/sustainable/organic bandwagon. I totally am. I am also a big fan of breakfast. Pancakes especially. And weighing these things I support so heartily, I decided to pick up some batter blaster. Despite the name, despite the packaging, despite the pure creepyness of it. And the verdict? It's good. Really good. Yummy pancakes, anytime. Even better? It's fun. Really fun. Swallow your self-rightousness and get some Batter Blaster for sunday brunch. It's good stuff.

Never mind the excessive metallic non-biodegradable packaging that will end up clogging a landfill somewhere, or the propellants required for such packaging. It says "Organic," so it's ok! And it comes from Whole Foods, so we know it's ok! And the best part - it saves that whole two minutes it takes to mix together dry pancake mix and water! How grand!
