SFist: See and Hear the Green "Presidential Debate that Matters"

As someone who went to the Nader rally at Henry J Kaiser in 2000 (6,000 people at that one), this IS a small turnout. Back then the Green Party was relevant as a real voice working for a viable counterforce to corporate power. Today they are just Communists. And there's a difference.

The Green candidate for Mayor of SF gave people a good scare. it's only a matter of time before they get people into higher offices. IMO Six years ago? Frankly I hold higher hopes for a Whig resurgence.

the green party brand is somewhere on the same level as the Ford Pinto, or something. anyway, they took money from Blackwater, their rent board guy in Berkeley was busted for pulling an Ed Jew, and their big star politico in Santa Monica was popped for fooling around with campaign money. Locally of course the Greenies are a dwindling bunch content to have all kinds of big discussions on par with those the annoying political kids were having in the common room at the dorms back in the 80s.

Now, now Greg. People were saying the same thing 8 years ago, just before the Green Party candidate basically decided the US presidential election.

I think I already read about this in "who cares?" magazine, and saw a wrap up on "totally irrelevant hippie bullsnot" tv the other night.
