San Francisco On High Wind Alert, Claims SFAlert

We received three urgent text messages since 9 a.m. this morning from SFAlert, claiming that "the National Weather Service reports/updated a High Wind Watch for the San Francisco area." Strange. We see no blustery weather or airborne British nannies in the distance.
Anyway, just a weather warning, y'all.

Stevie! Thanks for the heads up. Sweet pic....
did you get a high wind alert during the big storm the other week? just curious....
yes, one of them:
Jan 4th, "a High Wind Watch is issued when sustained winds exceeding 40 mph and/or frequent gusts over 60 mph are likely to develop in the next 24 to 48 hours. For summit areas, high wind watches are issued when sustained winds are expected to exceed 45 mph and/or frequently gust over 60 mph. If you are in an area for which a High Wind Watch has been issued you should prepare secure loose objects outdoors that may blow about and avoid outdoor activity that exposes you to high winds."
Probably due to all the new MacBook Airs just released at Moscone. Bwa ha!
Just for the hills
