But When is Spinster Appreciation Day?

appreciate.png
Here at SFist, we have a general editorial policy of opposing everything; but we've looked, and there's just very little to dislike about "Family Appreciation Day." Except maybe the logo. Seriously, what font is that? It looks like something from a used car dealership. But aside from that, it's actually a pretty cool initative. Which is probably why Gavin's trying to take credit for it, as if he has now personally kissed every baby in Northern California.

Anyway, next Sunday (the 13th) will see a bunch of museums and attractions offering free admission for kids who can prove that they live in SF. Some are pretty cool (the Musee Mechanique, Coit Tower, Tree Frog Treks, AT&T Park) while others sound like the kind of places that children might not be jumping up and down with excitement to visit (Legion of Honor, Museum of Craft and Folk Art, Wells Fargo History Museum.) Muni will be facilitating this amazing experience by offering free rides for children from 10am to 4pm. That should be entertaining.

But unlike Muni, BART will not be offering free anything for children. Also, they want you to keep off their lawn and turn down that rock and roll music.

I don't understand this comment: "But unlike Muni, BART will not be offering free anything for children."

Actually, BART did have a Kids Ride Free day on Saturday, December 22nd, which SFist.com even blogged about.

Oh for heaven's sake, Linton. I meant that you're not offering anything for free on that day.

i'm going to go with bodini poster as my guess on the font
