Here Comes the Rain Again

While not on par with Christmas Day tsunamis, this storm is pretty nifty, huh? Golden Gate transit buses have stopped, power has been knocked out to hundreds -- yes, hundreds! - of thousands of people, and surely snow is falling really hard atop a mountain somewhere.
But what must actually suck is this morning's nightmare traffic caused by the raindrops falling on our heads. Ahem:
- Marin/Contra Costa County: E-580, Richmond-San Rafael Bridge closed due to multiple overturned big-rigs.
- Marin County: Highway 101 at Interstate Highway 580 closed due to falling debris.
- Contra Costa County: Highway 24 east of Acalanes Road closed due to flooding.
- Alameda County: West 80 at Gilman St. in Berkeley, lane and off-ramp closed due to flooding.
- San Francisco: N-101 near Vermont St. in San Francisco, two lanes blocked due to downed tree.
- An Olympic-sized swimming pool has formed just outside of SFist headquarters. Jump in, everyone!
Check out CBS 5 to find out more. They get all Doppler-y on your ass, or whatever. Or Weather Underground for more weather info.

Thanks for the CBS5 link Brock. Unfortunately, the Doppler map seems to say that I'm living in Oakland. That is, they've got a big ol' Oakland label splashed across SF.
Now I'm wet and confused.
Also, how many times today is SFGate going to update us with the "breaking news" that there's a storm out there? Bets, anyone?
Be careful out there -- windows in a building on the corner of Fulton/Scott just shattered and the glass is blowing off the roof.
How about a picture of that new swimming pool outside your window? Or are you guys too cool to take any pictures yourself?
definitely too cool - without fail. but i'll try snapping an image of it.
According to SFGate, that's hundreds of thousands of people.
Great Highway is shut down today.
...although the Great Highway shuts down if it rains steadily for more than two hours.
