Feel the Rain on Your Skin

boots.jpgUpdate: It's raining.

Get out your brellies, Wellies, and slickers - the rain is on its way. Meteorologists are expecting the rain to start falling this afternoon. Expect high winds and heavy rain. Flooding is a possibility and of course, everybody's favorite - power outages! Be safe on the roads (especially in the right lane on 280 South between Cesar Chavez and Alemany, where a gigantic puddle always seems to surprise drivers) and please be courteous to other drivers, bikers, and pedestrians.

Up to ten feet of snow (Holy Toledo!) is expected to fall in Lake Tahoe this weekend. If you're already there, happy skiing. If not, don't count on the roads being open.

Read more about what to expect here.

If it wasn't for your wellies, where would you be?
You'd be in the hospingtile, or infirmary....

I can't remember any of the other lyrics

I always need to think of snowfall in term of the ceilings in my flat...they're eight feet tall! And this snow storm is that PLUS another two feet on top of that! Man, you're really going to have to huck it high if you're trying to dig out from somewhere!

Oh wellies they are wonderful,
oh wellies they are swell
'Cause they keep out the water
and they keep in the smell
And when you're sitting in a room
you can always tell
When some bugger takes off his wellies
