SFist Tonight

DIVA.jpg

  • Diva (1981): Based off of Daniel Odier's novel of the same name, this fun and stylish French thriller revolves around a postal worker's obsession with an opera star. After he makes a bootleg tape of one of her performances - tsk, tsk - he also unwittingly records a crime. And then? Chaos ensues.

Starts at 8:30 p.m. at the Roxie.

  • Francisco Aguabella: Dizzy Gillespie described this Latin music legend as "the John Coltrane of the Conga Drums." Praise doesn't get much better than that. Also, the floor will open up for all of you who didn't get enough of it on NYE.

    The beats begin at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. at Yoshi's SF; $16-20.

And all you're getting today. Get some sleep, folks. Also, from personal experience gained just the other night, we recommend never drinking absinthe in mass quantities. Ever. Just...don't
