November January Rain
Got that parapluie? The Chron reports that the skies are going to open up starting tomorrow, with not one, not two, but three separate weather systems barreling on in from Alaska. They're expecting 2-4 inches of rain in the city, possibly up to 8 inches in the hills, and a "paralyzing" amount of snow in the Sierras. There's also the possibility of flooding, so if your house is prone to it, pick up some free sandbags at the DPW yard on Cesar Chavez and right before the 101 N onramp (2323 Cesar Chavez). Friday is supposed to be the worst day, anyways, so plan ahead. (though it always seems when we actually plan for rain, it turns out to be a beautiful day.)
We kind of like the rain -- we get to use our fun umbrella we bought for $1.50 at Daiso! -- and plus, it's a good excuse to put up a YouTube clip of Guns N Roses's November Rain. Does anyone know what exactly happens to Stephanie Seymour in this video, anyways?

that wedding dress. my god.
Glad to see you youngsters enjoying the oldies!
holy roman polanski, i didn't know about this:
Personal life
At the age of 15 she began dating John Casablancas, the head of Elite Model Management, who was married, and by 17 was living with him. At 19, she broke off the relationship.
From 1989 to 1990 she was married to guitarist Tommy Andrews. The marriage failed, but resulted in the birth of Dylan Thomas Andrews in 1991.
After that she became associated with Axl Rose, the lead singer of Guns N' Roses. She appeared in two music videos by Guns N' Roses: "Don't Cry" and "November Rain". Their tumultuous relationship ended in 1993.
In 1994 she married the media mogul Peter Brant. In 1993 she gave birth to Peter Brant, Jr.; in 1997 to Harry Brant; and in 2004 to her first daughter, Lilly Margaret Brant.
Her's what could have happened to Axl's bride. I'd forgotten that the video was based on a short story, and even forgot about the mirror in the casket.

I'd have to say the crotchless wedding dress is prime for a comeback. Miss Siebel, I hope you're paying attention!
