Oh, pshaw. This is nothing. I just went out to the alley behing my work to smoke and someone was taking a dump between two cars. One homeless chick. No cup. But we see that all the time. Does it make it right? No. Is it gross? Totally. Do I wish I had my camera? For sure. But. If i was in a similar situation and HAD to pee or poop--like emergency pee or poop--and there was no where to go, would I have done it? Depends what I was wearing, I suppose. If they are my good jeans, no way am I going to poop in them!

As the readers of SFIST can clearly see..........people who are homeless are not the ones pissing everywhere. Maybe some of the readers should go to North Beach around 2:30 in the morning and see the drunkerds exit the bars and "whip it out". I don't think think those people are homeless?

I'm not jealous abut the other guy 's plumbing design,as I'm the one with the hood, and I guess it was cliped it away for him when he was a kid. I always get stares for having the long and floppy hat You can actually control flow better if you have to blast a major pee, because the FS can be closed to regulate the stream.

Oh Deborah. When you gotta go, you gotta go. He's not hurting anybody, so don't be jealous that he's plumbed in such a way as to make it convenient. The arguement that it's okay because we live in a city is flawed. If this were the country and that was a tree and not a wall, it would be entirely appropriate. This is just a different kind of nature pee. I argue that the city is encroaching on man's traditional range and we are running out of appropriate places to pee.

@rageahol - Disclaimer - I'm assuming you're serious and not trolling. What is with this "It's a city" excuse for any bad behavior? You hear this when people complain about loud neighbors, and now "It's a city" makes it OK to urinate in public? WTF? Yeah, I know it's a city, but how does that provide carte blanche for any jackoff to do anything he wants? The fact that it's a city means that we have a lot more people living in much closer proximity, ergo the need to be a little more mindful of those around us. Peeing off your porch at a farmhouse in Iowa 3 miles from the closest neighbor = OK. Peeing on my car because "it's a city" = not OK.

WE should encourage more men to whip it out to pee, to get fotos taken especially if they have a pretty or unusual wanger e.g. especially one with a long juicy foreskin. while they are not as unusual as they were in the fifty's when it was chop chop away, now they are starting to turn up all over the place. Oh yeah ... I've seen this several times. The sad thing is that San Francisco is pretty generous with free public toilets (unlike New York City - I went in to the "Welcome Center" of NYU a few months ago to ask if I could use their bathroom, and they got all up in arms and refused - and there's another reason I despise private schools, even the "Welcome Center" is unfriendly if you're not paying them to be welcoming. Screw NYU). Anyway... back to San Francisco... I was walking along the Embarcadero pedestrian promenade (I just like the way that sounds) towards the Fireboat Station near Harrison Street, and a young man and woman were standing in front of the public toilet there - the public toilet apparently wasn't working as the young man decided to whip it out in public and piss on the door of the public toilet with his girlfriend smiling and thinking it was funny - this is on a Sunday at 4:30 p.m. I'm not the type to not call folks out on bullshit - so when I walked near them, I said "You know, the restaurant across the street (Gordon Biersch) probably has a toilet you could have used." His girlfriend went into serious mode, saying "That's what I told him." The guy's reaction, with his thing in his hand still, was "Do you have a problem?" in that idiot frat boy "You want to fight?" type tone of voice. I just kept walking and didn't look back ... I wished I had a camera though, I totally would have been snapping pictures.

Yeah, I saw the same thing in soma a while back. Guy was totally normal looking. And it wasn't even an alley. It was the wall of an office building right in plain view! When I tried to take a picture of him for shaming purposes, he got really pissed off (no pun intended) and threatened a beat down. Luckily, MUNI arrived just in time (for once) and whisked me to safety.
