Tatiana the Tiger's Official MySpace Memorial Page
Where to begin? Well, for starters, the page's score set to The Lion King's eleventh-hour song "Circle of Life." While we tend to loathe music set to any page on the webs, this is fitting. And touching. But Tatiana's official postmortem MySpace page offers more than just Elton John-manufactured teardrops. You can find informative links to such items as the transcript to Nancy Grace's show on the tiger attacks, a makeshift memorial of sorts, and more. (Also, according to the site, Tatiana was a Cancer, the moodiest astrological sign of them all. Just saying.)
What's more, the page has already garnered some choice testimonials:

Some of the comments on that site - most notably the ones denouncing the cops as "scum" for killing Tati - are ridiculous. How would any of us act if an enraged tiger was walking towards you after having mauled 3 people? Would you shoot, or would you rather become tiger chow? Ridiculous.
Word is that Tatiana was trying to surrender when they cops killed her for no reason.
I'm sorry, but I giggled long and hard at the fact that the Lion King song is on that page.

in hindsight it would have been nice for the zoo to have had a plan to hand the cops walking in tranquilizer loaded guns to use instead of real bullets.
i'm not sure you can outfit standard issue handguns with anything like that instead of some kind of funky air gun like in old school, but still, it should be possible.
they were stalling on letting them in for good reason, knowing they were going to kill the tiger.
it's too bad tatiana wasn't able to finish the justified 3 kills instead of 1.

I'm so sad to hear of Tatiana's tragic passing! What a magnificent creature she was! Those three boys were definitely up to no good! I'm sure the truth will come out that they are truly to blame for the tragic events that night. However, it was the responsibility of the zoo to ensure Tatiana's safety and to protect those idiots from themselves.
The harassment and taunting of zoo animals should be prohibited and dealt with swiftly by ejecting and barring anyone from the park who commits such acts. Now the 2 morons and the decedent's family will make millions with the help of that legal whore Mark Geragos. What a shame all around!

Beautiful and majestic Tatiana, what have they done to you...the creatures, said to be the most civilized on the planet.
You longed to run, longed to roam, they lust to gawk and confer.
Your gold and black fur glistened in the blazing sun, you panted and could not figure out why it all seemed so strange to you.
You were so young when the creatures brought you here.
Memories and flashbacks, confusing to you.
Nature's beaty and unlimited miles of freedom you did know.
Now you are here and all you did was leap.
Yet you leaped too far, leaped too long. You found yourself amongst the creatures, the creatures who ran about, shouting in fear.
Flashbacks again, confusing to you.
You took hold of one's warm neck, the creature, not your prey, but a boy.
You tasted the strange blood, yet it was too late when you realized what you had done.
In a split second, their lead riddled your shivering fur.

Siberian tigers are rapidly becoming an endangered species due to high levels of deforestation in their natual habitat. (i.e. human greed)
It was with much sadness I read of this magnificent creatures' untimely death and with much anger to learn she had been taunted prior to her attack and then her death. What kind of IDIOT taunts a wild creature? Seriously? What kind of low life scum bag does that?
Certainly the zoo has some liability with the fence being shorter than industry standards and for also not having adequate security provided for the animals in their care. It's not that difficult to set up a security cam or post signs saying "don't taunt the animals" DUH!!!
However I feel the three who did the taunting . . .deserve the brunt of blame and the brunt of my ire. They are druggies, they are thuggies - with no respect for themselves or for the magnificent creatures on our planet.
And what do they do afterward? Get "powerful" money grubbing attorney's to sue the zoo. That should show something about their lack of character - they are dirt bags.
And so are their money grubbing attorneys. Makes me ill that they will profit one PENNY from their misdeed!! I can see them now on Dr. Phil or Oprah talking about their big trauma - which they brought upon themselves.
Sickens me. Tatiana deserved far better, she was a magnificent animal. Beautiful. I like to think of her beautiful, wild and free now. At least I pray that this is so.
Free of enclosures, free of crowds, in a natural environment where she can run free and be the beautiful creature she was born to be. Safe from humans at last.

You lot are rubes, Tatiana deserved to die. Just ask the zebras and the dik-diks. A lot of people like to throw around "crimes against animalia," but tigers are the Saddam Husseins of the jungle. The Dhaliwals are the Bush/Cheney in this morass, with the Carlos Souza Jr. being played by Tom Sizemore (a la "Saving Private Ryan").
