We already went through the 2nd amendment debate earlier this year after the Virginia Tech massacre. What exactly does Perata "sure make a great case" for? Minors are already banning from owning guns, so the law couldn't have prevented this. And don't even say "all guns should be banned" because that's too stupid of an argument to engage in. And as is noted above, Perata carries a concealed handgun himself, so he's a total hypocrite on the issue.

This is the same Don Perata who, being such a fan of passing gun control laws that he then felt scared enough to buy a handgun himself _and_ pull the strings to acquire a concealed weapons permit. That's while he was publicly against the rights of commoners to do the same. But I won't go into the blame-the-victim mode and say that driving a new Charger with twentyz in Oakland is just begging to get ripped off... oh wait.
