Well, this is some depressing news. Marin's very own Hollywood transplant power couple, Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn, are getting a d-i-v-o-r-c-e. At least according to People Magazine they are.
The couple, chained together in varying levels of wedding bliss for over 11 years, have two children. The two appeared together in two flicks: the film adaptation of Hurlyburly and Nick Cassavetes' She's So Lovely. (We love the latter. A lot.) And if independent cinema and a kick-ass view of the Bay can't hold a relationship together, what can? Sigh.
But on the brighter side of a disheartening situation: Sean is back on the market, ladies. (And he's probably tres sensitive right now, so leave him alone, hot young Republicans of the Bay Area! We mean it.) Although we can't imagine him kicking it at some Sausalito wine bar, listing to a smooth jazz outfit or Fleetwood Mac cover band, we hear he likes the scene over at Tosca.
Anyone else know where Penn likes to lounge? Just where, exactly, in SF do the indie elite meet?

I see him at Yoshi's in Oaktown quite a bit... almost invariably being a complete ass.
Really? Like, loud and belligerent? Or was he keeping to himself?
Do tell.
Boy, I hope someone says, "I saw him at Medjool!" :P
In that way that cokeheads can be 'loud' without making all that much noise.
Not that I'd ever insinuate that Penn does coke.
Hurlyburly is awesome. I've seen the Penn/Wright duo at Asia de Cuba, and almost didn't recognize them. He looks like nothing, but she shines the way a celebrity (and gavin) shines.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays at the McDonalds on Fillmore at Turk. Always.
