SFist Tonight

-- Jackie Beat: Give 'Til It Hurts: It's a Christmastime cabaret with infamous dragster Jackie Beat. She will take some of your favorite holiday classics and render them tasteless and tacky, and you'll love every minute of it. Yes. Yes, you will. The show starts at 8 p.m. at the Empire Plush Room; $30-$32.50.

-- Badmen, Hoe, Agent Deadlies, and Kittie Perm: Oh, the lunchtime grilled cheese-and-tomato sandwich memories we have from this venue. But the place still remains one of San Francisco's favorite downtown lunchtime spots. What's more, at night the lights turn low to welcome such acts as these indie jam, punk, and ska outfits. Come hear the college campus-friendly sounds starting at 7 p.m. at Beale Street Bar & Grill; $5.

-- The Thin Man (1934): Insofar as the detective genre goes, this is one of its finest. Nay, it's one of the best films ever made, period. Based off of Dashiell Hammett's novel of the same name, come see for yourself why the chemistry between Nick, Nora, and their little dog Asta spawned four charming (though not nearly as sparkling) sequels. Screens tonight at 7 p.m. at the Castro Theatre; $6-9.

You know, I clicked on this video once.

And then later, again.

And again. It's strangely ... hypnotic.
