Forget "scaring the hell out of people." Didn't CA just pass some sort of anti-tethering law? It's cruel to tie up dogs like that all day. No wonder they're snarling and snapping. I'd probably do the same in that situation. I f**king hate people who mistreat animals.

Suckafree - if you're going to do that, make sure that you report a specific incident or incidents, along with the date and approximate time. That's the kind of thing that can impact the hearing. Just saying "he's scaring the hell out of people randomly" probably won't cut it with the hearing officer.

this is great. i'm going to report the homeless guy and his 2 rottweilers he ties up all day out front of the starbucks on king street next to safeway. total loser. starbucks lets this guy hang out inside and drink water all friggin' day while his rots sit outside and scrare the shit out of every passerby that just happens to be going to work or the caltrain. they are tied to a newspaper rack but that doesn't make it any less intimidating when they lunge and bark at any other dog or kids being walked by them. totally unacceptable!

Since it's not too clear from the bit above, I'd like to point out that Animal Care & Control and the SF SPCA are two entirely different organizations. In the case of getting bitten by the hippie pit bull, it's Animal Care & Control you want to call, not the SPCA. The SPCA is a private organization and very selective about which animals they take and and which one they adopt out. AC&C is the city organization that does all what the person writing above is talking about.
