It's also worth noting that SHARON JONES AND THE DAP-KINGS are at Bimbo's tonight, fresh off an amazing show down in LA (see LAist for video and photos).
I was at Booty Call the Wednesday before Turkey Day and it was rather fun, though I suspect it was extra lively because everyone had the next day off. I find Juanita's nights to be very hit-or-miss (the next-to-last Playboy was one of the worst things I've ever paid money for), though she's improved considerably as a DJ since I heard her wrecking up the EndUp with classic disco about two years ago. The Bar is at least a fun Castro venue, and if nothing else is working, you can always go sit out on the smoking porch and watch the crowds go by.
