SFist Photo: How Will The Mini Get Out?
We were walking home last night, and came across this Mini on Church Street. Front bumper flush with the truck, rear wheels right on the curb. How did this happen? Is the Mini driver the best parallel parker ever? Was the truck driver just being an ass? Either way, getting out's not going to be easy...

Not really. The curb juts out there - it's a little harder to see in the photo. His wheel was wedged against the curb - he's pretty much got to go over the curb in order to get out, which is hard to do with little wheels. More importantly - how did he get in?
Just drive over the curb.

i think the Mini went in nose first, and then wedged itself in.
Hell, that thing is so small, he could just pick it up and carry it out of the space.
(That joke works better with the European "Smart Car")
Ah, yes. I see the curb now. Yeah, either he goes over the curb, or he's screwed.
Makes sense that the truck came in second. As the former owner of a Mini, though, it's possible (reverse hard right would yield a few inches and that's really all you need). Those cars are so much fun to park in the city. I can't count the amount of times a passenger would look at a spot I was going for and say, "no way," and watch in horror while I took a 18-point turn to wedge the little thing in there. I miss that car. Too bad they fall apart.
Call in Samantha Stevens or Uncle Arthur to twitch it out.
You can get in and out of a spaces just three inches longer than your car. At least if you put down the cell phone and latte. This is a piece of cake. Personally, I'd get a few mates and bounce the truck out into the traffic, but I hate trucks, so there you go.
"Makes sense that the truck came in second."
i disagree, unless the previous car in the truck's spot was also butt up against the mini in the same manner.
the mini driver would have, or at least should have, left more space behind his car if they had the option. this tells me that the mini driver came last after the small space was established.
