I looked this up at court and it has something to do with emails and telephone, but it looks like the case is ongoing they didn't get a restraining order because hartzell filed something earlier today this is the docket from the last two days DEC-05-2007 REPLY TO DEFT'S RESPONSE TO OSC RE: WORKPLACE VIOLENCE TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER FILED BY PLAINTIFF SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE, HEARST COMMUNICATIONS DEC-03-2007 RESPONSE TO PETITION FOR INJUNCTION PROHIBITING HARASSMENT RE WORKPLACE VIOLENCE TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER FILED BY DEFENDANT HARTZELL, JULIAN AS TO PLAINTIFF SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE, HEARST COMMUNICATIONS IFP DEC-03-2007 APPLICATION FOR WAIVER OF 985.(I) CRC COURT FEES AND COSTS (CONFIDENTIAL) FILED BY DEFENDANT HARTZELL, JULIAN ORDER GRANTING WAIVER OF 985.(I) CRC COURT FEES AND COSTS you could find out what it was if you went to court. The Chronicle might not have to tell Sfist, but they still have to tell the judge in open court

Interesting filings found on this at The San Francisco Superior Court web site (when it's working, access can sometimes be very spotty, like the court's 1200 baud modem gets overloaded or something). To get the real juicy info a true journalist would have to go down to the Records Room to dig up the dirt.
