Breakups, Facebook Style

It seems the world of dating has moved beyond breaking up on post-its into the new world of breaking up via Facebook status. That's rough. Breakups are hard enough to go through without spreading the news in front of all your virtual friends.
The update from Boinkology paints an even uglier picture: the dumper placed it on Digg, too.
While the dumper reasons out why a face-to-face breakup wasn't deserved, we can't help but think that she has made the Internets a cold, cold place to live.
So here's a cup of internet chicken soup for the soul from last month. We're such a sucker for romantic gestures. Aww. -- Dianne de Guzman

My two friends who are both on facebook, just got a divorce. I didn't find out about the divorce until they specified "single" on their profile. Then after a few facebook gossip emails to some of our mutual friends, I found out (through the grapevine) that he came out of the closet and the marriage was done.
Actually, come to think of it, I had another facebook friend get a divorce in the last couple of months.
It's just awkward. Lots and lots of awkward.
It looks like Digg users then hacked her MySpace and Flickr accounts.

This is what happens when bloggers break up. They argue through posts on their shared blog that seemed like SUCH A GOOD IDEA when they started dating.
