Maldroid Declared Winner for Live 105's NSSN

1792717.jpg
The results are in: Maldroid is currently the best local band in San Francisco according to Live 105's local band competition. They will be opening for Spoon, Angels & Airwaves, Paramore, Jimmy Eat World and Modest Mouse. According to Ryan Devine's blog (the lead singer), "[It] sucks that Paramore and Angels & Airwaves have to embarrass themselves after us. Looking forward to Modest Mouse and Spoon though!" Well, well, well... someone's shit doesn't stink.

He's quickly on his way to world domination. He finishes, "See y'all on Friday and put your game faces on y'all. We are stealing this show people!!!" We'll be the judge of that!

Considering that they're based in Oakland, I suppose they're the "best band near San Francisco," at least for purposes of this contest.

I suppose they're fun and have a certain amount of audience appeal, but they're certainly not anywhere close to the best band in San Francisco. Or Oakland, for that matter.

Sounds like a real classy guy.

I think he's confident - when in reality, no one wants to watch a non-confident performer.

I'm excited to see if he can deliver...

Very confident indeed, and i assure you good sir, that we will most certainly deliver.

As for Mr. Angrybat, i agree. There is a wealth of spectacular music here in the bay area. And a case could certainly be made that there is much better stuff out there. Our music may not be your cup of tea, but great bands often polarize people. People either KNOW we're great, or despise us for it.

I'd love to hear your picks. I love good music, and maybe you'll hip me to something. I've got some picks myself, though in a live situation i believe we will win every time.

All the very best,
Ryan Divine
