Vandalism Report Card: Los Gatos Church
We're not one to laugh at church vandalism. Ever. But the following story in today's Mercury News is goddamn hilarious. And hilariously bad.
Los Gatos police believe the suspects who scrawled swastikas and anti-gay messages on two churches and a pharmacy last weekend probably live in town, and investigators are hoping someone will turn them in.In some ways ... the vandal - or vandals - who hit St. Mary's Catholic Church, United Methodist Church and Pharmaca Pharmacy .. appeared to have a random methodology and mission.
This attempt at sending out a hate-filled manifesto is sloppy at best. Some of the laziest we've seen in quite some time, really. While it questions Our Savior's sexual orientation and asks if the Holy Father is a pothead, it then confuses the viewer by throwing in some swastikas for good measure. Showcasing enfant terrible-ism at its worst, this exhibition is a fusion that, in a word, fails. Grade: C-.

Umm, not sure how that is "anti-gay" graffiti, really. Seems more offensive to people who are religious AND anti-gay themselves, no?
Sounds like they could use help with their messaging.
And spelling.
And tense. Wouldn't it make more sense to say "Jesus was gay"?

You would think the kids in LG would be more erudite and urbane. And Jesus was a total 'mo. He's running around the desert with twelve "bachelors." Sounds like a Palm Springs weekend. Hello White Party!
