We do not -- are you listening carefully, Jennifer? -- believe that Gavin has left the most enchanting, pristine, and hopelessly 7x7-ish Siebel. (Believe us, you do not want to fuck with her when it comes to this, for lack of a better word, crap.) But let's throw this out for shits and giggles, shall we?
We receive a lot of whimsical emails here at SFist HQ. Take, for example, this one from an anonymous reader:
"Gavin's New Girlfriend ... do you know who she is yet?"
We're most certain that Newson is spooning her as we type this sentence. But if we had to guess who that new kind of girl was? Beth Spotswood, of course. Any suggestions?

Their relationship is a certified scam to anyone who has taken the time to read more than what the Chron has written. I've had conversations with people, in real life and on this very site, who have had eye witness accounts of Gavin with other women while "dating" Jennifer.
Whether it's true or not, I'm a skeptic at heart- and don't take an ounce of these two seriously.
Do we care??
Beth Spotswood is too smart/quirky for Newsom. I know, I know, she's obsessed with him.
But he wants dull, bland, whitebread women who'll stand in the shadows and smile vapidly. Newsom is just out of Spotswood's league, whether she realizes it or not.
I meant Spotswood is out of Newsom's league.
I care. This gives me hope.
I want to like Gavin, but I can't.
I can take Cheating-On-Best-Friend-With-His-Coked-Out-Wife Gavin, or My-Ex-Traded-Up-So-Yes-I'm-Dating-A-20-Year-Old Gavin. I even kind of liked Scientologist/MILFs-Are-Hottt Gavin. Those guys were human. Flawed, yes. But human.
I could never stomach a guy who dates the person that Jennifer Siebel appears to be. I just can't. Forgive me, but she seems genetically and temperamentally destined for all those fine gentlemen who at one time belonged to a fraternity.
Don't disturb the natural order, Gav. Circle of Life and all that.
Why are you assuming that he'd be dating a woman after dumping the bee catcher?
Oh man does anyone remember that gay rumor? Who was he supposedly sleeping with, a Getty family member? Oh, wait, no Burton's nephew... right? Someone remind me so my night becomes 2x better.
Brock, you KNOW if I was banging Gavin, I'd roll over and text you. Actually, I'd send one of those mass texts to everyone in my cell phone before tiptoeing out of bed to steal a blue necktie. Which I would then dramatically pull from my bag the next time we get cocktails so we could smell it...
And the award for Best Hilariously-Ironically-Appropriately-Named SFGate Gossip Columnist and Rumored Gavin Girlfriend goes to...
