Behold: Frustrating Claims of Trent Lott (Sort Of, Maybe, Not Really) Having Homosexual Liaisons

After reading this, we were fit to be tied.

BigHeadDC claims that recently-retired Trent Lott has a taste for male escorts. Sort of. We think. Coochie-choochie-coo. Who the hell knows. It's a post that's a bit too coy in revealing direct facts, reminding one of the Ted Casablana's maddening gossip column, The Awful Truth.

According to BigHeadDC:

The boy happens to be real, and his "stage name" is Benjamin Nicholas. One of the politicos Big Head DC has learned he’s alleged to have been involved with is the married Sen. Trent Lott, 66, who unexpectedly announced his retirement on Monday. Lott is well-known to have been against a plethora of gay rights issues throughout his terms in Congress. He was also good friends with Sen. Larry Craig throughout his time in Congress.

Although said sex worker, Nicholas, supposedly sent out mixed signals of his own (which are now being disputed) saying BHDC "Trent is going through his fair share of scrutiny right now and I don’t want to add to it. ... All I can say at this point is no comment...it’s the professional thing for me to do." (As of yesterday he told BHDC, "Here’s my public comment, on-the-record: Sen. Lott and I have no current affiliation with one another. I’m sure he would appreciate no further scrutiny,")

And then Big Head DC counters that, claiming "e-mail and other records confirm that the two have met on at least two occasions." Which? Where are the emails? And records of confirmation? Frustrating. Check out the alleged email exchange between Nicholas and BigHeadDC here. (This is making our head spin, and not in a good way.)

Then, with a stoke of brilliant peevishness, Dav Savage chimes in saying:

At some point someone involved in pushing this—I mean BigHeadDC or Flynt, not the escort (who hasn’t done anything to push this, so far as I can tell)—needs to put up or shut up. Don’t be coy, Larry. If you’ve got something on Lott, out with it. If you don’t have anything, don’t tease us. And stop overselling this, BigHeadDC. Nothing’s been confirmed by anyone.

Word.

Sure, end-of-month traffic counts are tough for all of us who dwell online, but this smells...funny. Hoax-y. But if all goes well, we'll have Lott's Kinsey scale rating in no time. In fact, we should demand Kinsey scale ratings from all of our elected officials, tween stars, and musicians.

I really doubt if this is true. The lobbying law change is the reason he is getting out. Time to cash in for Trent.

I don't remember Flynt playing coy with the press when he had the goods on Bob Livingston. Looks like smoke to me. Plus, have you seen the man's hair?

So of course I had to click the link -- a video of himself FLEXING? That's his promo? We need street walkers again -- that was lame.

I agree with Daithi. His retirement is about money, not sex.

As much as we'd all love this story to be true, HuffPo sort of debunked it. There's also a story out that his brother-in-law is in trouble with the Feds and Lott supposedly threw some influence around to keep him out of trouble if you know what I mean. And I think you do.
