Mini-Blotter And A Curbed Moment

We're trying to ease back into our regular SF Blotter posting schedule -- so we figured we'd start out easy: folks near the Towers building at Second and King had a bit of a scare last night, when at around 11 p.m., a guy started waving a gun around and saying he was going to shoot himself and anyone that came nearby.

The guy had no previous criminal record but was having some problems with an ex-girlfriend, and the cops managed to subdue him without incident, but not before 4 a.m. Man, all those folks who live in Mission Bay condos can't have been too happy about all that ruckus going on for five hours straight.

And hey, just a little shoutout to our pals (and SFist alums! We're so proud of you guys!) at Curbed SF -- so just which of the many, many buildings in Mission Bay is actually The Towers? They all look like towers to us.
