SFist Photo: The Marina Welcomes Its New Apple Store

The first customers at San Francisco's third Apple Store were welcomed as if they were cosmonauts returning from a successful mission.

At 9:00 AM, Pacific Standard Time, on the Day of Novembre One-Score and Three, in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Seven, the Store at 2125 Chestnut opened its doors. Were you one of the thousands to check it out? See what it looked like and find out how we walked past security right out of the store with a Shuffle and a Nano, after the jump.

The transition from an old Walgreens to a house of the holy Apple is ably documented with 130 photographs from Fireside Camera here.

And we paid for the iPods, silly billies. They were on sale and it's Black Friday after all.

The back of the store has bar stools to seat you and Apple Geniuses to greet you, so they call it a Genius Bar. These people actually go,"Yes, I'm a genius."

Welcome Apple people! No swag / lucky / mystery / goodie / Fukubukuro bags for us, but we love you anyway. Happy Black Friday!
