SFist Blotter

It's been quiet over the past couple of days. A little too quiet. Hop to it, hoodlums of SF, we need crime-y content!

-- In the foreign realm of Fremont, a routine traffic stop turned into a cinematic bout of exchanged gunfire. After being stopped, zany 23-year-old Jorge Cazarez was ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint, Logically, he drew out his gun and started shooting at officers. The fuzz then chased him on foot, and "Casarez was found hiding in nearby bushes by a K-9 dog, which bit him."

Cazarez is currently kicking it at the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. What's more, he faces felony charges including attempted murder of an officer. Well played, Jorge.

-- 15-year-old speed-walking advocate and Metreon murdered might be, will probably be charged as an adult. Wah wah.

-- And finally, a malnourished baby seal near Tracy (where?) walked a mile from the ocean to the front steps of the Tracy Animal Shelter, 60 miles east of Sacramento. What's the pup's crime, you ask? Why, stealing our hearts, of course. (Aaaawwwww. Oh, shut up.)

Could you please sort out the sarcasm for me, because from where I stand, that decision is ABSOLUTELY rational.

Ain't no two ways about it, the dude is a badass.

Wait, a baby seal waddled a mile from the Pacific, and ended up in Tracy? Huh? Tracy also isn't 60 miles east of Sacto. Where did this happen, Pangea?

It is "sarcasm"-infused. Ideally, it makes sense what he did. But logically? No. Cops have a tendency to kill people who do that.

For all we know, Tracy could be located at the top of One Rincon Hill. But thank you for bringing that to my attention. I'll will look into the matter further.

The seal pup was found motherless in the MISO area.

Tracy is in the San Joaquin Valley. (Grandparents settled there after coming to the US. Why?! Who knows.)

Seals are probably the most exciting thing to happen to Tracy since a second high school was built there. And possibly the mall.

did this seal attend the first or second high school? which is the one where he was most likely to learn street signs and find his way to an animal shelter, as opposed to, say, a chinese restaurant??

I get the sarcasm with the seal, and with Jorge, but I don't think there's anything funny about the shooting in the Metreon. 18 year old dead. 15 year old likely going to jail for a long time. Not really appropriate for the lighter-side touches, Brock.

if A Cry In the Dark taught us anything it's that we all grieve differently.

Brock, you are on fire today.
