SFist Photo: Conan the Deployer Visits S.F. Again
The ubiquitous Senator Carole Migden gets a few words in with Rear Admiral Craig Bone at Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's briefing on Treasure Island yesterday. At this point, our Cosco Busan oil spill appears to be getting as much attention as it merits.

See the same three here -- our governor looks a little intense, non? Yes, that is a flat-top haircut on the military photographer in the lower left.
Arnold stated that "obviously some human error" was involved. It seems there will be more than enough blame to go around after all the recriminations and senate hearings and all. Good thing we practiced for a mid-size spill last year. Right?

Midgen really looks completely out to lunch. And the "will this idiot just shut up" looks on everyone around her while she is ranting are priceless.
Well, Arnold looks like he's about to attack the Bone in the Chronicle photo also. It wasn't that kind of meeting - it was more of a briefing.
There were lots of video cameras there. Maybe see about posting a link. All the media reps with big video cameras were kicked out of the room and one of them talked about how pissed off he was about it, so maybe they didn't use their video.
Wait, that's Carole Midgin? I thought it was Phil Spector.
Let's say that considering both of their driving records, it's good that neither one drives container ships.
Although to his credit, the Gov's latest wipeout wasn't his fault:

Not sure of the rules concerning the sidecar accident. Lack of the proper motocycle endorsement was the bigger story.
Can't find video of the briefing. Maybe it wasn't meant to be video'ed.

Well, having ridden a bike (motor and human powered) for a long time, the idiot driver backing out of a driveway without looking is one of the "nightmare scenarios". Plus, nearly everyone has ROW over a backing vehicle.
Without knowing all the details, agree it probably wasn't Arnold's fault.
i love the way that john cota has found yet another reason it wasn't his fault today. he's blaming the chinese captain of the boat. first it was the fog, then the navigation system. i can't wait to see who he blames tomorrow? chris daly?
lol!
