'why aren't they testing for hpv as well?'

But they are, Blanche. They are ....

Because hpv is so common, and there are so many strains (100+) of it, most people have it or will get it by middle age.

More importantly, the Pap smear is the definitive test used to screen for one of the bad strains of hpv and its complications: dysplasia and cancer.

They did one on her.
It was negative.

What does a banned XBox commercial have to do with sexual reproductive health?

This one is more like it: from Sweden:
I Wish I Had A Condom (aka Glove of Love)

And Leanne, I applaud you for posting that 'find'.
It's a great Nurse Practitioner who takes the time to write a personalized note on a routine lab test report.
Personally I also probably would have mailed it back to the patient, just in case she lost it before she had a chance to read it? That 14th Street corrider is rife with muggings. She could have had her purse stolen and it might have fallen out?
Or maybe she needed it to show her boyfriend?
I'm just sayin ...

FYI, the above item reflects a routine gyno visit.

The only thing that makes it recognizable is the practitioner's niceness.

Now, if any of the tests were positive, that would be a different story.

Don't you find it the least bit invasive to post this sort of stuff? It's not particularly interesting, nor particularly funny, but it sure is creepy.

Sure, sure, you blacked out the name ... but would that make you feel any better if it was your medical paperwork that someone posted up on a local blog? Just sayin'
