Check out the UC Davis Oiled Wildlife Care Network site periodically over the next few days. They don't need volunteers right now, but it could change. There's also Marine Mammal in Sausalito.

i asked the chronicle writer that to teama. he said so far they have not asked for any help from the public but would let me know. i'll let you know if gets back to me.

This makes me so sad. Does anyone know of a place where people like me can volunteer to help clean up this terrible fiasco? If so PLEASE send it this way!

FYI, I hear parts of the spill have now spread as far south as Fort Funston.
