It's Got to Be the Morning After

-KTVU, the home of the Giants since Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue will no longer be the non-cable channel that shows Giants game. That duty now falls to KNTV, channel 11 (the NBC affiliate). The reason is that the Giants preferred the flexibility KNTV offered as they felt KTVU wasn't that ecstatic about interrupting their broadcasting to show a Giants game. Apparently, KTVU felt that it was more important to show all those great Fox shows like...ummm....well...ummm... than Giants games but since KNTV is stuck with only crappy NBC shows, nobody would care if they get pre-empted (they better not dare to mess with our Thursday Night Comedy Block, however. If "the Office" is interrupted, we will not take that lightly. Not lightly at all).

-In one of those long, rambling, incoherent interviews that only the Barry can give, Barry said he'll "never be in the Hall of Fame" (whatever that means) if ball #756 is put into the Hall with an asterisk on it. If you remember, some stupid fashion designer bought the ball than put it up for an internet vote as to what to do with it. We hate to defend Barry on this one, but if the Hall does accept the ball with the asterisk on it, that's kind of a diss on Barry. On the other hand, maybe he shouldn't have done all those steroids?

-So Lane Kiffin put his three QBs together, did some eenie-meany-miny-mo and decided that Josh McNown is it. Actually, the team did do better with McNown at the helm and he's healthy so maybe it's the wise choice.

-Joss Whedon announced he's going to do a new TV show. This has nothing to do with sports, but it still bears mentioning.

Joss Whedon is awesome. BTVS was a great show (and I don't like monster stuff) and Firefly was even better.

Psst...the guy's name is Josh McCown. Cade McNown was a UCLA QB who busted big time in the NFL..
