You'd think in a city full of burners this wouldn't be a problem! I half expect them to be giving out interactive LED art and EL wire to stick on your bike. Glowsticks anyone?

have to shout out because this is such a great, great thing. both agencies should do everything they can to get lights on bikes. many cyclists are not as visible as they could be.

"The latest citywide bicycle counts by MTA show that bicycle ridership in San Francisco has increased 12% over the past year." Holy cow. That seems like a pretty huge jump. Has anyone seen reports on this bicycle count? I just poked around http://www.sfbike.org and http://www.bicycle.sfgov.org didn't see anything about it. This kind of news deserves a party!
