Yeah, I live across the street from the 16th Street BART. I'm pretty pissed too. Like the revelers can't all just take the Civic Center or 24th stations and walk the few extra blocks? Lame. Still, if no one gets shot, our hood can take some of the credit. First time you could say that, huh?

or your beast party friends might have to - gasp- walk to 24th street bart. i mean its not convenient, but, i mean, they didn't piss in your cornflakes.

I'm pretty livid about the 16th Street BART closure. It's my neighborhood, no one in the neighborhood was consulted, and now my East Bay party guests (we were partying inside -- I thought that's what the city wanted) will have to contend with swarms of drunk drivers to get back.

Anything to keep the 'Bridge N-Tunnel' crowd out is good. Too many thugs and their gay-bashing attitudes were the real problem behind the previous Halloweens. Not sure about that generalization. If I recall correctly, the stabbings a few years back were pulled off by gang members from the city and the shooting last year by a teen/young adult from Vis Valley.

The last few Halloweens, stores were not allowed to sale booze and some just closed shop all together. So does this mean we can buy a drink again on Halloween? Anything to keep the 'Bridge N-Tunnel' crowd out is good. Too many thugs and their gay-bashing attitudes were the real problem behind the previous Halloweens. Also the large amounts of spectators not in costume were annoying too. Looks like this No-Halloween my be fun after-all but then again, I doubt the city can put the Genie back in the bottle entirely. One concern I have, will people be arrested for walking down the street in a costume?

A lot of East Bay heads come to the city for Halloween. While the Castro is a short walk away from 16th and Mission, wouldn't it make more sense to close Civic Center station? Blah, this is lame. I wonder how much this will end up costing city businesses?
