UNKLE at Mezzanine

UNKLE's James Lavelle sure would like to show you his elbow. Maybe you'll get the chance to see it live?

Downtempo, trip hop duo from England, UNKLE, has been a popular outfit on the dance floor for years. Now, for the first time ever, UNKLE will make its appearance as a live band. Using guitars, bass, drums and synths set against a backdrop of lights and LED screens for a unique audiovisual experience -- do we smell a modern laser show!? -- they'll help you kick it, dance, and get smashed this Saturday at Mezzanine. (Goon Moon performs and Live 105's Aaron Axelson spins as well.)

What's more, we're offering a free pair of tickets to one lucky reader. Simply email unkletix [at] gmail.com with "UNKLE/SFist" in the subject line, and maybe you'll get in for free, get more UNKLE info, etcetera. Otherwise, ticket/venue info is as follows:

Where: Mezzanine
Date: Saturday, 10/27
Time: 9 p.m. - 4 a.m.
Tickets: $20

Too bad the Mezzanine is such a terrible venue.

oh! the mazzanine good-or-bad debate! yeah!

but, true, it tends to be a bit inaccessible.
