Shocker! A double parker causes an accident. Although I have to excuse a Brinks truck for double parking, who wants to walk two blocks on Market with $300,000 in cash?

Today on Geary, the center lane is closed and yet everyone is double parked like usual in front of the hospital. So Geary is down to one lane and traffic's backed up to Scott. Same old, same old.

I almost got out of my car and punched f**king Grasshopper last night as he was double parked at the top of a blind hill on Post. The filthy hippy was one car length away from a spot. I appologise to his passenger as they undoubtably had to listen to him wining on about being persecuted by drivers honking their horns at him as they slowly manouvered around his stinking, illigal, uninsured taxi. F**k you Grasshopper, the city hates your putred hippy face.

Oh no,

That streetcar, painted in Kansas City colors only recently got back on the street after a half decade out of service because of a previous accident.

Let's hope the F was full of tourists not locals.

Tourists are too busy to go to whiplash laywers to sue.

MichaelSF-
Didn't you experience pain and suffering from witnessing the accident?
Quick- put on a neck brance and for unspecified damages ASAP.

Since I work at market and montomgery, I heard the crash and went downstairs after I looked out the window to see a F streetcar rear end a car.

If anyone noticed, there is a brinks truck in the picture.

Well, the brinks truck was doubled parked (on market street, what a shock!) and so the car was trying to pass this brinks truck up and did not see the F streetcar and BOOM! The streetcar pushed the car forward about 35-50 feet (right at the start of 2nd street).

This is pretty much everyones fault in my opinion. No Brinks Double Park--Car Not Looking--And Muni Just Stinks!

I would like to point out that they did clear everything up in a timely fashion.

Yeah, I'll go with someone tried to pass the train inappropriately. It's not as if the train can swerve. As unsafe as MUNI is on a regular basis, the F-Market seems to be a bit of a gem... with drivers who realize how unique and awesome the vintage trains are... and treat the vehicles with a bit more respect.

i'd wager 100.00 that the car cut him off. people are such bad drivers these days. i watched a guy cut off the n-judah over here at townsend and embarcadero a few weeks back and get clipped and spun around 180 degrees. his light was red and he got in the way of the train. friggin' moron. lucky he didn't get killed, although that would have helped improve the gene pool.

yesterday i watched some nasty looking east bay house wife cut off a big rig at 60mph on 880 to get to the exit lane.

unbelievable!

i say we go to the autobahn school of darwinism. they have no speed limits causing the foolishly bad drivers to die on impact, clearing the way for the rest of us that know how to operate a motor vehicle.

it's like a dream come true.

Given how drivers seem to treat the buses, cable cars and street cars as nothing more than moving roadblocks designed to impede traffic, I'm going to ahead and just assume that the F-Market conductor was in the right.

It's really hard to tell, from looking at that photo, who was at fault. (Aside from Don Fisher, obvs.) Looks like the car got rear-ended by the F, maybe?
