Did Mr. Mirkarimi just come out of the Mitchell Brothers? That's their old undersea mural if I'm not mistaken.
Why would we want to be higher as a real estate investment city? I mean, don't we have enough problems right now with speculators, developers, and yuppie idiots buying up properties with the only intent being to find a way to jack up the price and "flip" it?
We need real estate that's going to get cheap and stay that way. People who are buying property because they intend to live there, not because they're concerned with being able to sell it in the future.
Investment? Real estate is a real need, it shouldn't be something that's just viewed as a way to make a quick buck so you can take your money and use it to pay giant fistfuls of cash for whatever property you desire making the market even worse.
