Now Here's Something We Never Saw Coming

If you noticed a great disturbance in the internet last night, it was because word got out the JK Rowling told a bunch of kids that one Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore is, in fact, gay. The whole thing came about when on a book tour, a kid asked if Dumbledore ever loved anyone and Rowling spilled the beans. When the kids clapped and cheered, Rowling added that if she knew this would make so many people happy, she would have told people earlier. She also added the Neville wound up marrying Hannah Abbot but we don't think anybody other than the Neville/Luna Shippers would care and we're still dreaming they got together anyways. The announcement disappointed a whole lot of fanfic writers out there who thought Sirius Black and Remus Lupin were the gay characters and involved in a mad, passionate, torrid affair with each other.

We have to say that this certainly puts Phineas Nigellus's quote about Dumbledore in "Order of the Phoenix"-- "you know, Minister, I disagree with Dumbledore on many counts... but you cannot deny he's got style"-- in a whole new light.
