So priests are supposed to police Communion now? Should Catholics have their credentials ready in exchange for the wafer? I frankly have more respect for a priest who bestows Communion on the obvious transgressor. Isn't that what this is all about--redemption, loving the sinner not the sin, turning the other cheek?? The Archbishop has nothing to apologize for, even if he knew what he was doing at the time.

This is insane - but not for the reasons Brock gives. Is there anything sacred anymore? Their actions were intolerant and profane. The eucharist is a holy ritual to Catholics. I would be just as outraged if they tried desecrating a Buddhist, Muslim, or Hindu ritual. They showed major disrespect. Shame on them.

No way should The Sisters have to go on O'Reilly. Then they would have to deal with his creepy sexual advances.

I know that the sisters give grants to charities and other organizations in need. I'd love see them start passing some of their grant applications on the Catholic Church and see what assistance the Church offers. While I'm making a wishlist, I'd also love to see the sisters in full regalia on The O'Reilly Factor, not to shout him down, of course, but to show him that they're the better people in this dust-up. I'd love to see them end their visit by planting a big kiss on his flaccid cheek. :)
