As usual, U-Haul-conomics tell all (rates for 17-footer, 2 or 3 bedroom apt, from the web site):

SF to Austin, Texas: $2493
Austin, Texas to SF: $477

SF to San Antonio, Texas: $2122 
San Antonio to SF: $300

San Antonio chosen not because anyone would want to live there, but it&apos;s only 60 mi from Austin and thus show the &quot;coolness&quot; premium for Austin itself..&lt;/p&gt;</description>
