SFist Photo: 6th Avenue Roller Village Skate Dancing

Same as it ever was. With the completion of recent construction and the end of the heavy fog season, skating is ON at Golden Gate Park.

See it and hear it, after the jump.

Per KTVU, the "scene can't be missed". Here is a map showing the 6th Avenue dancing area.

Here's some low-rez video.

Skating has had its ups and downs in Golden Gate Park but it seems there will always be a group of hard-core skaters around. Why don't you get out there yourself? It's easy!

The only remaining question: old school or inline? You make the call.

I've always loved these guys. Mainly because in my tiny mind this is pretty much the most un-Hippy thing on the planet and it happens every Sunday right in the middle of Hippy ground zero.

That spot on Sundays feels like 1979. In a totally good way.

Why call it skate dancing? Are they afraid to admit that it's really just plain old roller disco?
