I'd have some sympathy for Ms. Blue if she weren't such a crappy writer! That the Chronicle can't find a better sex writer in this town tells me they must be hiring mediocre on purpose! And you might not be surprised that sfgate.com deletes most of the Readers' Comments that criticize the style (rarely the substance) of her columns but they usually don't get to this purge until the late afternoon.

Violet Blue is a municipal treasure. If Ferlinghetti gets a cul-de-sac, and Herb Caen gets a "Way" ... I say we continue the tradition of honoring local writers who embody our civic virtues. (And doing it while they're still alive.) I nominate Otis Street for Via Violet. It's a block away from Kink.com and standing on the southwest corner outside of the Power Exchange, one can see the beginnings of the Haight, the Mission, SOMA and the Castro. That's five neighborhoods! Truly the center of SF. Let's do this thing.
