Oh No Chris Kavanagh!: Ed Jew Copycat

kuffs.jpg
Not to be outdone by San Francisco's own zip code fibbing person of the people, Green Party follower and Berkeley Rent Stabilization Board member Chris Kavanagh, according to today's Matier and Ross, "was hauled out of an Oakland coffee shop [Cole's Coffee Shop] in handcuffs today" and thrown in the clink on fraud charges for lying about his Berkeley residence.

It seems that he actually lived on 63rd Street in Oakland, where he was in the process of fighting his own eviction by new landlords, and in order to be on the board, of course, he needed to live in the city of Berkeley. Arrested and possible eviction -- double ouch, Chris.

I served on the Berkeley Rent Board from 2000 to 2004 and know Chris Kavanagh very well. I never knew him socially, though, so I really can't comment about where he actually lives.

But I will say this -- Chris Kavanagh is far and away the flakiest and most disorganized person I have ever met in my life. To be honest, I don't even think *HE* knows where he lives.

63rd street is almost Berkeley. You can see why he'd get confused.

hey - maybe he'll be able to rent in Berkeley now that he's getting evicted!

Another crooked leftist politician in Berkeley. Why am I not surprised?

We've got a mayor, Tom Bates, who goes around stealing newspapers when they dare to endorse someone other than himself. Why don't the police haul Bates into jail? He's more of a danger than some guy who lies about his address.
