Bernal Hill Coyote Roams

coyotebernal2.jpg

In our continuing effort to stave off (unfair) pitbull hysteria, we bring you even more (unfair) coyote hysteria. Run! While driving around Bernal Hill on Alamaba Street, SFist reader Katie Spence snapped these up close and personal shots -- be careful, Katie! -- after spotting the coyote.

Also, who knew coyotes had such attractive, plush tails? Well, we didn't.

Thanks again, Katie.

I have lots of non-hysterical pup pals on Dogster. Thanks for the photos,

Yours, the Bernal Heights Coyote

I remember seeing it (or another one) a few years ago when I used to go to Bernal Heights. It was lovely and quite clearly minding it's own business.

There's at least one coyote in Glen Canyon, too. It avoids people and their dogs; the times I've seen it have always been on one side of the canyon while standing on the other. Attractive critter, and it doesn't seem to do any harm.
