Giraffe Dies in Vallejo
RIP Makonnen
Now this is an RIP we’re real sad to be writing. 2-year old Makonnen, a giraffe at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo died early this morning in a barn fire. Thank goodness two other giraffes were able to escape the blaze that was set off by an electrical short.
Fire crews arrived at the park at 2:15 a.m. and were able to extinguish the fire by 2:35 a.m. But poor Makonnen never made it out of his stall.

is this a joke? SFist usually just makes light of people being raped/murdered, i figured the same would go for animals. and it's more than one person.
Give us some links to these so-called light-hearted references to murder and rape that you mention.

its the first death in a while that didn't involve a situation where someone put themselves in harms way on purpose and payed a price for it
that's the sadest part about it
i hope the investigate the cause and find out why the electrical fire started and killed him
animals are the last truly innocent creatures in our fucked up society
