SFist Tonight

coarse language = a wee bit NSFW

-- The Boys in the Band: Mart Crowley's work, which takes place one night during a birthday party, details what happens to the gays after leaving the 18- to 25-year-old demographic, with twink rage aging into fine bitterness. Really, it's the most accurate depiction of gay men, ever. Screens tonight at 7 p.m. at -- where else? -- the Castro Theatre, Castro & Market Streets; $6-$9.

-- "Sweat": DJs Rapid Fire and Gold Blooded spin underground club beats, hip hop, disco, and a whole bushel of jams (e.g., slow, dirty, freaky, sexy, and more) tonight at 10 p.m. at the Lexington, 3464 - 19th Street; free.

-- Brian Jonestown Massacre: Local rockers and friends-slash-enemies of the Dandy Warhols perform tonight at 8 p.m. at the Independent, 628 Divisadero; $20.

-- "Punk Rock Sideshow": DJs Tragic & the Duchess of Hazard weekly Monday night party tonight features live sets by Trashed Idols and High School. The bands start at 8 p.m. at Hemlock Tavern, 1131 Polk. From 8-10 p.m., $5; 10-2 a.m., free.
