Well if that is really the attorney's name, he's not licensed to practice in California. You can look up any attorney's information on the State Bar's website: http://members.calbar.ca.gov/search/member.aspx

I agree that the reason that these folks are suing isn't to get rich but because they probably don't have health insurance and need to pay some medical bills.

"thanks for the donation, taxpayers"??

How about, thanks for maiming people, MUNI.

These blog posts always seem to be insinuating -that lawyers are just getting rich by suing MUNI or that the plaintiffs are somehow to blame. Maybe if MUNI wasn't constantly hurting people they wouldn't get sued.

I agree with the poster above. $15K is bubkes when it comes to health care.

I don't know what kind of medical insurance heaven you have been in but those of us without hundreds of dollars a month for minimal scam health insurance coverage understand full well that an injured foot could EASILY set you back 15 thousand dollars.

With emergency rooms sometimes charging $1000 an hour to the uninsured just to sit in a chair and then sort of forgetting about you for a few hours until a doctor becomes 'available', that is a quick 3 or 4 thousand before treatment even begins.

And that is for a bruised ankle....

Only in America has a medical degree become a license to steal.

We live in a country where crime has gone legit.

Oh ho ho, Happy Chandler! That would actually *make sense* and well, that wouldn't be very much like our Muni, would it?

Could "background check" equal "DMV record"? If so, a history of moving violations could be an indication of the possibility of callous/reckless conduct while conducting a moving vehicle, no?
