i disagree mattymatt. criminals running the hood. i'd say we are quite on topic. they obviously see no repercussions for committing crime in our town. who'se to blame?

um they do that in southern states, dude, and it costs a fortune. to properly supervise prisoners out in public you need a lot of guards and a lot of guns. plus when one of them breaks out and goes all willie horton, I'm betting you'd be the first to whine. why don't you get your own blog and tell us more about your ideas. it is so funny to read people here wonder gosh why are criminals running around? you have a DA that has an almost congenital inability to fight crime, a chief of police that is clueless, a police force more interested in pay raises than work, a mayor who's out to lunch (or whatever) who could care less about crime, and a population who is so in love with how "cute" our Mayor and DA are they give them a pass, and a downtown business establishment that tries to put the blame elsewhere to hide the fact THEY SUPPORT HIGHER CRIME AND TAXES.

no big surprise. the t/l has and always will be run this way. we should just tear everything down and start over on 6th street and in the t/l. speaking of which, why don't we have hard labor anymore more for prisoners? why not truck them back into the city in leg irons to do all the nasty work for free we shouldn't have to pay anyone at dpw for anyway. digging ditches, breaking up concrete, digging up and replanting gardens, painting the projects, demolishing the ones that need to be taken down and what not. this would be a great message to send to all the potential gang bangers and losers in the city right upfront. go to school or you'll be back in this same hood in leg irons doing all the labor for free.
