SFist Tonight

laverne003.jpg

-- Giants vs. Brewers: Shouldn't beer be half-priced when we play Milwaukee? Alas. Game starts at 7:15 p.m., AT&T Park, King and Third Streets; $20-$98.

-- Graphic Content -- T-Shirt Exhibit: DJ Centipede operates the decks while you buy a nifty one-of-a-kind shirt. Wee! Reception starts at 7 p.m. at Space Galley, 1141 Polk.

-- Maureen McVerry: Cabaret star (and one-time Full House guest star according to her IMDB profile) sings songs saluting love -- e.g., "New York baseball, dental romance, and good-time girls" -- in her show, "Verry McVerry". Music begins at 8 p.m. at the New Conservatory Theatre, 25 Van Ness; $28.

-- Beastie Boys: Michael "Mike D" Diamond, Adam "MCA" Yauch, and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz still bust out the awesome NYC hip hop well into their forties. Huh. Imagine that! Show starts at 8 p.m. at the Warfield, 982 Market; $50.

-- Shawn Ryan & Bruce Vilanch: Homosexual cabaret. Is that redundant? Who cares. Cabaret rules. As do singer Shawn Ryan and comedian and banter writer for the Academy Awards, Bruce Vilanch. Come check them out at 8 p.m. at the Herbst Theatre, 401 Van Ness; $25-$45

-- "Bextalo Drom": Dance floor-friendly Balkan, bhangra, dub, Latin, and Gypsy beat abound this club night in the Mission. Music starts at 9pm-2am at Amnesia, 853 Valencia; $5.
