SFist Photo: Code Pink vs. the S.F. Federal Building
"If I weren't pregnant right now, I WOULD fight with you." So said the woman on the left to the eight pink people blocking her way into San Francisco's old Federal Building this afternoon. Fortunately, no fisticuffs ensued, and she was able to get in fairly quickly.

As promised, some members of the group CodePink got arrested for attempting to shut down the Federal Building in San Francisco's Civic Center today. They would like a personal audience with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to discuss conflict in Iraq. It looked something like this. The conversation the protestors would like to have would go something like this recent discussion with District Representative and local political up-and-comer Dan Bernal.
The whole affair was very mellow (surprisingly?) with no assaults from any pie man or woman. Of course the Speaker has the right to choose with whom she meets and the protesters have the right to get arrested. Anyway, this location on federal propetah appears to be a more appropriate venue for a political protest than that other place. Dontcha think?
