When you find a BART director from Japan/France/Germany etc, please clone him/her (you'll have to do this in Japan/France/Germany as well) and instruct the clone to run Muni. Thanks.

Agreed jwb, the director should be someone who doesn't speak English as their first language and is from a world-class transit country. That is, someone from say Japan, France, etc.

What guest #1 said, and then some. BART management should not be rewarded for their malfeasance with the extension to SFO, their insistent pushing of another needless extension to San Jose, and their constant efforts to undermine any non-BART rail proposals in the Bay Area.

BART should have gone looking in Spain or Japan for their new chief.

How utterly amazing!

After a comprehensive, global search for the best qualified transit executive, isn't it just amazing that we had her all long right here at BART, the best transit agency on the planet.

Why, it's nearly as amazing as the retiring MTC executive director (the only one that agency had had) being succeeded by his "Mini Me" deputy a few years back.

It's amazing and humbling to consider what an incredible and deep pool of the world's best transit people we have right here in the Bay Area, already working at the our world-class transit agencies!

So best wishes, Best Candidate Dugger!
You did just great in your extensive role involving that 1/3-predicted-ridership SFO extension, and we're sure you can help replicate that process in San Jose!
We know you have what it takes!
And we're sure Bechtel and friends won't be disappointed, either.
