Really??

Probably Forbes meant the best place to remain single. I haven't had a serious long-term relationship for the last 10 years I've lived here. Is Southern California any better?

I think that the number of active online dating profiles is actually negatively correlated with the quality of the dating scene. Online dating is a last resort and so many SF people are doing it because the dating scene actually sucks.

I completely agree with Forbes :)

My friends are either a) single and dating in the city, b) about to be engaged and c) married with baby and tried to leave the city but on their way back!

Originally from LA I have often called my new city a 'A singles fantasy island.' lo

That's funny. Almost all of my single friends of all sexes & orientations and I agree that this is a horrible town to be single in.

Unless, apparently, you're the kind of person who reads Forbes (see tool comment by SWMahan above).

No comments? For realz? At least on the hetero- side, where's the old saw that all the half-decent single men are gay? Or my personal corollary that all the half-decent single women are in relationships - frequently with tools? Any half-decent non-tool-dating ladies looking for a half-decent non-gay 25 year-old?
