one last update..It could have been the Lawrence, as originally said. The Chronicle now says it's the Lawrence, and it wasn't like anybody could go out and follow the bomb squad..Anyway, in relation to the Seneca, it's the Desmond next door, then the Lawrence on the corner of 6th and jessie (next door after that)

it was one or the other, and finally, here's the video from a few hours ago, this is what I saw at a friends place who live on the street side

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2Vjso24Db0

you can see it's sort of hard to tell even when you're in the middle of it..Note the two ladies coming out next door, that the Desmond, and the Lawrence is where the bomb truck was parked

I have an update..Chronicle got it wrong...

Front desk of the Seneca said the bomb squad never came in here, it was next door, probably the Desmond hotel next door.

the bomb truck did park in front of the Seneca at first, then moved down to the corner of 6th and Jessie, so that might be where the confusion came from

it definately was not the Seneca

Old military munition found, Sixth Street reopened
Kevin Fagan and Marisa Lagos, Chronicle Staff Writer

Wednesday, August 22, 2007

(08-22) 14:51 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- Police have reopened Sixth Street between Market and Mission streets after finding an old military explosive at the Seneca Hotel.

Police Sgt. Steve Mannina said around 12:35 p.m. today police received a call that an elderly man had been taken to hospital. Mannina said the caller, the man's friend, told police that the elderly man had kept had some sort of explosive device from when he served in the military.

Bomb squads responded and found a munitions shell around 2:30 p.m. They determined it was safe to transport the shell and left about five minutes later. Officials do not know if the shell is active.

yep, I'm in the seneca next door, and the whole block was yellowtaped. I have a video, but just shows an empty street with a bomb truck parked at jessie alley, and yep, it did look like it was Club 6, or the Lawrence just above it...Or maybe a little further up Jessie..

but it did look like it was centered right on the corner of 6th and Jessie, club 6

they're all gone now, so I guess we'll find out why later

If Democrates hate Amerikkka, then shouldn't Al Qeada attack a red state?

I guess after they kill all the republican, bible-thumping, blood-thirsty war mongerers then they could focus their attacts on us?
